Was looking for a new printer and decided to just build one myself. Called a D-Bot, this is a Core XY style printer which means the print head moves both in the X and Y directions and the build plate (Z) only move up and down.
Started with some instructions, STL’s and a Bill of Materials. The first step was print all the required parts, cut the v-slot aluminum extrusions and assemble the frame. All the back parts are 3D printed.
Another impressive build by Eric Harrell
Designed in SpaceClaim, printed on a Makergear M2 and Creality CR-10.
UK engineering firm KW Special Projects (KWSP) has used 3D scanning and additive manufacturing to restore an Alfa Romeo Tipo 33/3, a racecar built in the late 1960s to compete in the World Sportscar Championships. The rare Alfa is owned by Martin Stretton Racing, a UK car restoration specialist.
Designed this in SpaceClaim and 3D printed. Great for the gun safe or shooting range.
